Login with a one-time code—even for event guests
"What was my password again?"—a question that won't have to stop your members from logging in anymore.
With the new coapp login, you can also sign in using a one-time code. In addition, there’s a redesigned interface, enhanced security , and a new way to convert event guests into members.
With a password or a one-time code—your members decide
Starting now, your members can choose how they want to log in: with their password or a one-time code. The usual login method remains available, and the password-free alternative is now an option. Anyone who doesn't want to remember a password can simply use the code.
This is how it works:
Enter your email address, select “Use one-time code,” enter the code from the email on the login page, and confirm—that’s it. You can still log in with a password.
From Event Guest to Community Member
Anyone who has participated in a public event in your community as an external attendee will continue to have "Guest" status , as before . What's new is that these guests can now log in using a one-time code and then sign up for a membership.
To do this, they use the email address they provided when registering for the event to log in. This allows them to proceed to the next step using their existing guest account—even if they haven't set up a password yet.
Use this for your next event follow-up: Thank attendees for participating, highlight the benefits of membership, and direct them to your community’s login page. The note “Simply log in with the email address you used to register for the event—a one-time code is all you need” clearly explains to your guests what to do next.
New design,
improved security
The login page for members and guests has not only been redesigned—we’ve also improved its security. This gives your community a more modern and secure way to log in. It’s important to remember: Even a one-time code is confidential and should never be shared with anyone.
