The year 2023: What has coapp experienced and achieved?
Year in review, we're going in: We take a look back at the past four seasons in the world of coapp. There are numerous milestones to celebrate - from inspiring international trips and the realignment of various features to the icing on the cake at the end of the year - all communities together generate one million euros in revenue via coapp. 🚀
Winter
January started with great motivation to develop many new features. To provide the community with even more information and practical tips, the team created a series on setting up a coworking space.
In February, new plans were introduced that reflect the diversity of the communities that coapp supports: from Basic to Professional to Enterprise, the prices are now designed so that every community can get started easily.
In March, the team took part in Cowork2023, a networking conference organized by the German Coworking Federation, from workshops on sustainability and keynotes on resilience to coapp's own barcamp on community engagement and community economy. The future of working communities has been on coapp's mind for some time...
Spring
In April, the team packed their bags again and this time traveled to Lisbon, to the world's largest remote work conference, Running Remote. In a LinkedIn post for coapp, Community Consultant Simone Franke captured the wisdom she took away about remote work, work culture and possible community policies.
In May, spring brought a breath of fresh air to the coapp calendar in the form of the new booking calendar - and with it a number of important features: more beautiful and informative resource detail views, an intuitive calendar interface and further optimizations in handling. A big step, after all, the calendar is the most frequently used feature that should work smoothly and feel user-friendly.
In addition to the many milestones and trips, it is of course above all the everyday life at coapp - brainstorming, iterating and lunching together - that ultimately ensures a harmonious team culture. Hardy Seiler captured some impressions of the normal coapp daysin June...
Summer
July and August brought glorious weather and Stella's coapp anniversary. She not only brings team dog Roxxi with her, but also a lot of experience and is the bridge between coapp and the rest of the world. 💪
September was another international month: Jonas Lindemann's pitch in New York was one of the highlights of the month, and it was also "Hello San Francisco, Ciao Rome, Salut Paris!" With coapp, communities could now monetize their resources and memberships in all currencies. This means global opportunities and a significant change for coapp.
Autumn
The fall started with Jelwa as a new team member, who immediately helped design the introduction of the guiding principle "Community Empowered Business" and also filled and sent out a goodie box for all coapp customers. An asset to the team at all levels! 🙌
In October, the coapp software underwent a transformation or further development - from a coworking community management to a community empowered business platform. Since our founding, more and more brand communities, brands and organizations have been using the platform to network their communities and establish new business models.
November was similarly exciting: Jonas traveled to Porto for the Coworking Europe networking conference and came back with lots of insights into community building challenges and membership experiences, while Hardy visited the impressive creative quarter in Potsdam. The TAZ Genossenschaft, the European University Viadrina and the coworking space CORE are now also using coapp and are examples of the growing diversity of customers. There was also good press: Venture Capital magazine wrote a nice portrait of coapp and its mission to make a big difference as an operating system for hybrid working and the sharing economy.
The year ended with a bang in December: coapp Communities recorded over one million euros in sales via coapp! The team was also proud of the promising launch of the Circle feature with which coapp Communities can now network with each other. 🚀
As this eventful year draws to a close, we are very grateful for the support, the trust and all those who are keen to create vibrant communities. May next year be as exciting and successful as this one.
In shared anticipation of what is yet to come!
